<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Today about 80 million women prevent unintended pregnancies using oral contraceptives all over the world. Oral contraceptives have been the most investigated medicines arriving on the market. The data about their potential benefits and risks for health are updated regularly, and thе tendency, maintenance is expected. Oral contraceptives are considered as the main large achievement in reproductive medicine because they provide essential health benefits, confirmed numerous researches; serious adverse effects were observed extremely seldom. Routine risk-factor revealing in potential users of oral contraceptives significantly decreases the conditions frequency of serious adverse effects.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>оральные контрацептивы</kwd><kwd>эстрогены</kwd><kwd>прогестины</kwd><kwd>контрацепция</kwd><kwd>риски</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>oral contraceptives</kwd><kwd>estrogens</kwd><kwd>progestins</kwd><kwd>contraception</kwd><kwd>risk</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Прилепская В.Н.
